Special Events

Students applying through Joint Entrance Examination category 2 or recommendation-and-selection scheme are enrolled in the “Image Communication Technology” program. 4-year technological/2-year vocational students applying through joint examinations or recommendation-and-selection are enrolled in the “Printing & Publishing Technology” program. Once admitted students may take courses offered by the other program but transfers are not offered.

The curriculum is designed to place equal emphasis on theory and practice while also meeting the needs of society.

Students in both Printing & Publishing Technology and Image Communication Technology programs are expected to complete 128 units within 4 years to qualify for graduation and the awarding of the Bachelor of Engineering.

Admissions to the master’s program include taking part in the Department’s recommendation-and-selection examination (applications begin in mid-November each year) and taking part in the NTNU’s master’s program entrance examination (applications begin in early March each year).

 

Application Criteria: Anyone with a bachelor’s degree from a local or overseas university or college recognized by the Ministry of Education, or equivalent level of academic ability.

The goal of the “Printing & Publishing Technology” program is to cultivate research, management and business expertise in printing communication technology and publishing management technology; the goal of the “Image Communication Technology” program is to cultivate creative, research, quality control and management expertise in video communication software. Students should refer to the graduate student handbook issued by the Department and complete a suitable curriculum package before they may begin working on their dissertation. At least 36 credits must be completed to qualify for graduation and the awarding of the Master of Engineering.

Application Criteria:
1. Anyone with a bachelor’s degree from a local or overseas university or college recognized by the Ministry of Education, or equivalent level of academic ability (please refer to the equivalent academic ability recognition guidelines on the application form). 

2. Those who have received their bachelor’s degree or equivalent, have two years or more of work experience and are currently still employed.

At least 29 credits must be completed for graduation and the awarding of the Master of  Engineering.
